That's... upsetting. But you make it sound like you're against "truthiness" winning the Word of the Year Award. You know it's kind of a joke right? I mean, I think it's the perfect choice. I can't imagine a better one. The Word of the Year Award is like the Ig Nobel Prize; which, this year, was a hell of a lot of fun. I listened to a lot of it on Science Friday on NPR, but you can still get a recording of it at the above link, possibly even video. Apparently, we may hate the sound of nails on a chalkboard because it so closely resembles primate warning calls. Who knew.

That is fascinating. But no. I wasn't saying Truthiness shouldn't have won though I can see how someone would think so. More, just on first seeing Truthiness...which is a horrible word...made me think of New Zealand's word language/education crisis.

As for the joke, especilaly having read the article explaining what its epistemology, yes. Great.

I find it really interesting that everyone is in a shitty mood at the same time. Everyone I've talked to. Madison won't even talk to me today. She's barricaded herself in her apartment and won't come out. It's not just alice blue people either. It's everybody.
